This is a blog that I frequently read as it has wonderful tips on being frugal, green, and Godly!!
They are giving away a book called "The Mission Minded Family."
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the entire world raised their children to be mission minded, always seeking out the people who are in need and do not know Christ!!
Go check it out!
I have had a sick baby boy so my posts have been very sporatic.

I wanted you to know that you and your family are in my daily prayers. As a mom of 5, I have been there and know the road you travel. I am sure your family will offer you great joys for many years to come!
Can you bear some advice from a meddling old woman? One thing we did that I wish I had done more of was one on one time with each parent. We aimed for it once a month. Dad would take one of the boys off on a buddy trip. This can be as simple as an auto parts or hardware store or a hike in the park. This gives them time to talk about "manly" things and allows Dad to prepare them for puberty hitting like a freight train before it ever happens. Mom can do that too with the girls. One trip was to the hospital classes for Moms and Daughters on becoming young women. Mom and daughter can go to garage sales, free cake decorating classes at a store, free crafting or sewing classes at local stores, etc.
Another great thing is Dad and daughter date and Mom and son date. You can go as simple as Micky D's, but sometimes go to a nicer restaurant. Let the boys pay and tip. This helps them be at ease in social situations when they get older and also is a good chance to practice all those manners lessons you are forever teaching. The boys learn how to treat a young lady on a date and the girls learn how to be treated.
With 5 kids, that one on one time is hard to come by, but so precious and meaningful.
